ABSTRACT

This chapter concerns stability of closed cylindrical shells subjected to an axially non-symmetrical load action. In the beginning (Sect. 5.1), equations of motion are derived, and then the influence of imperfection on the shell stability is studied. Both static and dynamic problems of buckling with the use of the Bubnov-Galerkin method of higher approximations are analyzed and many computational results are reported. More... »
