AUTHORS ABSTRACTMalignant tumours of the nose, the paranasal sinuses and the anterior skull base are rare, accounting for less than 1% of all malignancies and accounting for approximately 3% of those arising in the head and neck. Sinonasal malignancies occur twice as often in males than in females, and are most often diagnosed in patients between 50 and 70 years of age. About 60–70% of the sinonasal cancers develop in the maxillary sinuses, 20–30% in the nasal cavity, 10–15% in the ethmoid sinuses and less than 5% in the frontal or sphenoid sinuses.
