ABSTRACT

We generate high energy, high spatial quality supercontinua in Krypton gas for Z-scan measurements of nonlinear absorption spectra and the dispersion of nonlinear refraction in optical materials throughout the visible. This eliminates the need for tunable sources (e.g., optical parametric devices) for nonlinear measurements.
