ABSTRACT

This paper presents an autonomous system which increases safety for cognitively impaired people living in smart homes during cooking activities. Smart homes are alternative solutions in order to keep elderly and cognitively impaired people at home as long as possible, allowing them to benefit longer from their home comfort. The user’s cooking activity is analyzed and according to predefined safety rules the system reacts when danger appears. Experiments are carried out to validate our solution. More... »
