ABSTRACTThe features of the Cu(II) complex obtained by wet technology and adsorbed on a zirconia surface were investigated by ESR and FTIR spectroscopy. Two kinds of Cu(II) paramagnetic centers were shown in octahedral coordination in a polymeric complex with different degrees of tetragonal distortion and kinds of ligands. The estimated g-factors of these centers and FTIR data showed the presence of covalence bonds between Cu and ammonium ligands. The adsorption of the complex on the zirconia surface takes place due to ammonium ligand coordination with oxygen-containing groups of the surface. As result the shift of g-factors in a higher field are observed; the values of g-factors give evidence of the orbital ordering of Cu(II) at the adsorbed Cu(II) complex on the zirconia surface.
