ABSTRACT

Real-time visibility of relevant information during process execution becomes increasingly feasible leveraging advanced information technologies. However, it remains vague where organizations should exploit the new, but also cost-intensive opportunities. Theoretically grounded in the Information Processing View (IPV) this paper proposes a decision framework that identifies business processes which need technology investments enabling real-time visibility.
