ABSTRACT

cDNA for rat cytosolic aspartate aminotransferase (cAspAT) was cloned. The amino acid sequence deduced from its nucleotide sequence was compared with that of other AspATs. Comparison of amino acid substitution rates revealed that cAspAT evolves faster than mAspAT. In E. coli cells, rat cAspAT was expressed directly or overproduced as a fusion protein. More... »
