ABSTRACT

The structure of 206Pb has previously been studied by the 207Pb(d,t)206pb 1) and the 207Pb(p,d)206Pb 2) reactions, using cross section measurements and 9m rules to establish nuclear configurations. We have studied the 207Pb(,t)206Pb reaction using 15-MeV vector-polarized deuterons to obtain cross section and vector analyzing power (VAP) distributions in 5° steps from 25° to 110° for approximately 10 levels below 3.12-MeV excitation.
