ABSTRACT

Sarcomas are a group of tumors arising from bone, muscle, and other connective tissues. 18F-FDG has been evaluated for use in sarcoma imaging, including treatment response evaluation. In general, patients with intermediate and high-grade tumors are often treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy. There are several advantages and limitations of using 18F-FDG PET/CT in assessing treatment response in soft tissue sarcomas.
