ABSTRACT

In the present study, the relationship between clear sky spectral (narrowband) and total (broadband) planetary albedos was investigated as a function of the solar zenith angle, surface type, atmospheric conditions, and spectral response of satellite sensors. A Lambertian wavelength-dependent surface albedo was assumed. The simulations could be useful for sensor selection for optimal information on the total surface albedo. More... »
