ABSTRACT

At the LEAR storage ring at CERN, Balmer and Lyman X-rays in antipro-tonic hydrogen were measured. The measurements have been performed using the cyclotron trap together with Si(Li)-semiconductor detectors at a beam injection momentum of 105 MeV/c. At 30 hPa target pressure, a stop efficiency of 85 % could be obtained. Strong interaction parameters (2p-width, 1s-shift and width) could be determined with good precision. More... »
