ABSTRACT

Recently it was argued[1] that in head-on collisions of N solitons in (2+1) dimensions, approaching each other at an equal angle \( \frac{{2\pi }}{N} \) between them), the scattering process proceeds in such a way that if the solitons manage to “get on top of each other” during the scattering then they emerge from the scattering region at an angle \( \frac{\pi }{N} \) relative to their original direction of motion.
