ABSTRACT

Bismuth clusters are produced by the inert gas condensation technique. The clusters velocity is studied systematically as a function of the helium pressure. A large velocity slip is observed between He and the clusters. This velocity slip depends on the mass cluster and allows us to select in size the neutral clusters. Moreover this mass selectivity enables us to study the fragmentation of bismuth clusters (as a function of the ionizing energy). More... »
