ABSTRACT

One of the proposed mechanisms of aging is generation of free radicals that have been shown to react with lipids, proteins, and DNA1.2. Trace elements by the fact of metalloenzymes (Zinc Copper Superoxide Dismutase (ZnCuSOD), Man ganese Superoxide Dismutase (MnSOD), Selenium Glutathione Peroxidase (SeGPX)) prevent such potentially toxic reactions.
