ABSTRACT

The analysis of the Weber type antenna systems for the detection of gravitational waves (GW) is based in general on the representation of the cylinder as a lumped system described by a second order ordinary differential equation, which provides a very simple and powerful tool for a first order analysis of the antenna system, but neglects a number of important characteristics of the real antenna that are related to its distributed nature.
