ABSTRACT

The quest for new methods of administering insulin has been primarily stimulated by the practical difficulty of achieving long periods of strict blood glucose and major intermediary metabolites control with conventional insulin injection therapy. Until such conditions can be realized it is clearly impossible to demonstrate unequivocally the relationship between diabetic control and chronic tissue changes, such as microangiopathy. More... »
