Some five years ago Keilova (1) reported on low molecular weight substrates and inhibitors of cathepsin D. In the light of the recently introduced technique of affinity chromatography, her data became interesting again. A low molecular weight peptide inhibitor containing a D-amino acid could serve as a ligand in the isolation of cathepsin D and other acid proteinases. More... »
