ABSTRACTHigh-spin states of 100–103Pd have been studied using high-fold γ-ray coincidence data obtained with the EUROGAM-2 spectrometer and the 70Zn(36S,xn) reaction at E=130 MeV. New high-spin bands were found and the previously known ones were extended up to higher spins. Several of the observed bands are assigned as terminating configurations through comparison with Nilsson-Strutinsky cranking calculations. The terminating bands, many of which have been observed up to the predicted terminating state, are found to have systematically the same (N-shell)-(high-j) configurations in these nuclei. More... »
