ABSTRACT

We present a dynamical model for meson-meson scattering and apply it to ππ-scattering. The experimental phase shifts and the electric form factor of the pion are well reproduced using very short-range form factors for the strong interaction vertices. Within the same model we predict a strong energy dependence for the scalar form factor of the pion in the energy range between E = 0 and the Cheng-Deshen point.
