ABSTRACT

Chloroplasts are the major sites of energy conversion in the plant cell and play a vital physiological and metabolic role during plant growth and differentiation. Energy, organic matter and oxygen for nearly all biotic processes are provided by photosynthesis and the overwhelming amount of photosynthetic products is formed in the organelle. More... »
