ABSTRACT

Overvalued ideation is a complicating factor in some cases of obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD). Definitions of overvalued ideas are provided, distinguishing it from obsessions on the one hand to delusions on the other. Clinician-administered rating scales for evaluating overvalued ideas are discussed, and methods for addressing this aspect of OCD in treatment are covered. More... »
