ABSTRACT

Heat-pulse experiments in n-type InSb (1) have clearly demonstrated such properties as the coupling of the longitudinal (L) phonons to the free electrons, and the absence of coupling of the transverse (T) phonons, which result from the isotropy of the conduction band. On the contrary, the valence band wavefunctions are of P-type symmetry instead of S-like, and quite different behaviour may be expected in p-type materials, which we consider now. More... »
