ABSTRACT

The main results of extensive calculations of nuclear deformation potential energy of odd Tl,Au,Ir and Re isotones made with Nilsson model are briefly reported as well as other magnitudes (static equilibrium quadrupole deformations and prolate-oblate potential energy differences) derived from them. The possible existence of hexadecapole static deformations in these nuclei is investigated as well as the influence of a different choice of the modified oscillator potential parameters, Kp µp.
