ABSTRACT

The previous paper [1] has described powerful techniques for solving the biomagnetic inverse problem and contained model inversions confined to one and two-dimensional trial source space. The basic formalism allows the use of prior knowledge about the sources through a probability weight fuction and regularisation parameter. A more detailed description of the method, its sensitivity to noise and detector position and some extensions, including a comprehensive set of examples with both current densities and magnetic dipoles will be given elsewhere.
