ABSTRACT

As might be expected, the percentage of foreign born respondents is greatest among the older age groups. The same is true of foreign born parents. Among the older groups, slightly more women than men were born abroad, whereas slightly more older men than women report foreign born parents. Seventy-five percent of the younger generation specifies European ancestry, but this is a decline compared to the older age groups. At the same time, the percentages reporting South American, North American, African, and Asian ancestry generally increase in the youngest age group. More... »
