ABSTRACT

International Relations, 1929–41 is a major compulsory part in the syllabuses of two of the four Examination Groups, MEG and NEA. It is also a major section of the parts you can choose to do in the LEAG and SEG syllabuses. For MEG, The Collapse of International Order in the 1930s is a laid-down area of study for Paper 1. In the NEA syllabus, it is a large part of one of four sections of the compulsory part of the syllabus: the theme Conflict and Conciliation for Paper 1, dealing with the outbreak of the Second World War. For LEAG, the area is covered in a range of topics for Paper 1 (see below); while for SEG, International Relations, 1929–41 falls within the topic, Peace to World War, 1918–41. Peace to World War, 1918–41 is one of three themes to be chosen from for Paper 1. This is in addition to the compulsory theme, The USA and the USSR as World Superpowers since 1945. For SEG, the topic Peace to World War, 1918–41 is essential background knowledge for studying The USA and the USSR as World Superpowers since 1945. More... »
