ABSTRACTMultiple ligament injuries of the knee (knee dislocations) typically result from high-energy injuries such as motor vehicle accidents or falls from significant heights. Low-energy injuries such as sports injuries can also cause multiple knee ligament injuries, but this is relatively infrequent. The anatomy and biomechanics of the ligamentous structures of the knee have been continuously studied, and our understanding continues to evolve. Surgical techniques have also continued to evolve, with many current techniques allowing for precise restoration of the normal ligament anatomy. However, problems still remain with arthrofibrosis, pain, and recurrent instability. Knee dislocations are difficult to manage and require skills and experience for successful management. This chapter focuses on the surgical treatment of injuries of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) combined with injuries of both the posterolateral (PLC) and posteromedial corner (PMC) ligamentous structures.
