ABSTRACT

The performance of the Q3D-spectrometer at Vicksi is described with the emphasis on the design of the detector system. It consists of a focal plane detector, a parallel plate avalanche counter at the entrance of the spectrometer and a coincidence detector at the scattering chamber. The method of particle identification from the measured parameters is discussed in detail. A short review of the experimental program is given at the end. More... »
