ABSTRACT

.We present the preliminary results of our Supernova Search. We observed periodically several fields, surveying about two square degrees in each run at the MPG/ESO2.2 m, and we checked our candidates by spectroscopic observations at VLT. From the beginning of the search we discovered 21 Supernovae (SNe), the redshift ranging up to 0.6, with a peak distribution at about z = 0.2. We found both type Ia and type II, almost in equal proportions. Our preliminary estimate of the SN rate at redshift \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$\sim 0.2$\end{document} is: RIa=0.20+0.20-0.18, RII=0.27+0.28-0.25.
