ABSTRACT

.We present the spectroscopic and photometric data of a number of Core-Collapse Supernovae having faint luminosities. These objects cover the whole range of properties from the faint SN 1997D to the normal SN 1998A. Their absolute luminosities at maximum cover a wide interval between about MV = -13 and -17; the spectral lines at the end of the photospheric phase indicate expansion velocities between 1000 and 4000 km s-1. The analysis of the absolute luminosity of the radioactive tails suggests that there is a wide distribution of Ni masses powering the late-time light curves. More... »
