ABSTRACT

Peculiarities of HPHT sintering of diamond and cBN powders with the use of sintering aids are considered. The fabrication of a novel diamond-containing composite thermostable material having high strength characteristics induced by adding diamond nanopowders is reported. The nanopowders facilitate the formation of highly dispersed silicon carbide and a decrease in the amount of free silicon in the composite material. More... »
