ABSTRACT

The present invention relates to a polypeptide consisting of 14-200 amino acids comprising the amino acid sequence SEQ-B consisting of Z1-Z2-Z3-R4-V5-U6-F7-Z8- Z9-Z10-Z11-Z12-X13-X14, wherein SEQ-B is substituted at 2-7 "Z" amino acid positions relative to the amino acid sequence K1-N2-S3-R4-V5-U6-F7-S8-E9-D10-D11- E12; wherein at least two substitutions are at positions Z3, Z8, Z9, Z10, Z11 or Z12, "Z" being any natural amino acid resid ue or any amino acid residue analog ue; wherein X13 and X14 are hydrophobic amino acid residues; wherein U6 is any natural amino acid residue or any amino acid residue analogue, with the proviso that it is not proline; wherein the polypeptide is able to disrupt protein phosphatase 1 holoenzyme complexes.
