ABSTRACT

It is intended to provide a process for highly producing a recombinant protein in a plant storage organ and a GLP-1 derivative. A plant storage organ with the high production of a recombinant protein can be obtained by transformation with the use of a vector which contains a recombinant protein gene, a cytokinine-related gene, a drug-resistance gene and a DNA factor having a leaving capability and in which the cytokinine-related gene and the drug-resistance gene are located so that they can behave together with the DNA factor having a leaving capability while the recombinant protein to be expressed in the plant storage organ is located so that it would not behave together with the DNA factor having a leaving capability. Using this process, GLP-1 is produced and a derivative thereof having been stabilized against enzymatic digestion is provided. More... »
