FIELD: technological processes.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for isolating spatial isomers of N,N'-dimethylglycoluril, namely 2,6-dimethylglycoluryl and 2,8-dimethylglycoluril, comprising the preparative separation of a reaction mixture obtained by reacting two portions of N-methyl urea and one portion of glyoxal, by liquid chromatography, characterized by use of water-acetonitrile mixture as a stationary phase of octadecylsilyl silica gel and eluents of the following composition, wt. %: acetonitrile 2–8, water 92–8.EFFECT: technical result is the production of high purity reagents, which are used for fine organic synthesis.1 cl, 2 ex, 1 dwg More... »
