ABSTRACT

The present invention relates to a senescence control composition containing extracellular matrix components, and a senescence control method for senescent cells. The senescence control composition and method of the present invention exhibited an effect in recovering the biological function of senescent cells, and enhanced the expression of integrin alpha v, a membrane protein the amount of which was decreased during senescence, in a senescent cell recovered by a young extracellular matrix. However, when the expression of integrin alpha v was artificially reduced by use of siRNA and antibody, a senescent cell was not recovered by an extracellular matrix extracted from a young cell.
