ABSTRACT

The invention relates to video holograms and means for reconstructing video holograms with an optical system consisting of light source (1), lens (2) and the video hologram (3) of matrix-shaped or regularly arranged cells with at least one amplitude and / or phase of the controllable opening per Cell. The video holograms and means for reconstructing the same are characterized in that holographic video representations of extended spatial objects (6) are in a wide viewing space by means of controllable displays in real time be realized, wherein the objects are created either computer generated or otherwise. The Space-Bandwidth Product (SBP) of the hologram is reduced to a minimum by the periodicity interval of the Fourier spectrum in the inverse transform level as a viewer window (5) is used, through which the object in front of it space is visible. The mobility of / the observer is achieved by tracking the observer window. Advantageous applications offer in television, multimedia, gaming and construction sector, in military and medical technology as well as in other areas of the economy and society. More... »
