ABSTRACT

In a method for producing a fine-grained recrystallized sheet made of a hardenable aluminum alloy with an addition of at least one of the elements Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W with a weight fraction of a total of 0.08 to 1.5%, the alloy is first brought into a state a in which both the alloying elements leading to the curing and the additional elements being at least largely in solid solution. Then, in a step B the incoherent curing stages are in a temperature range between the separation zones solvus T GPS and the solvus of the equilibrium curing stages T s excreted and in a following step C the aluminides of the said additional elements by annealing in a temperature range between 300 ° C and excreted T s -30 ° C uniformly with high density, may where possible rolling deformations between the state A and the step at temperatures of no more than T s -30 ° C take place. Next, the alloy after the step C with at least 60% reduction in thickness, is that the temperature of the sheet does not exceed a thickness of from 220 ° C 2.5xd such rolled into a sheet of thickness d. When the thickness d, the sheet is heated to a recrystallization treatment D in such a way that up to above the recrystallization threshold the heating rate is at least 20 ° C / s. The sheet is particularly suitable for superplastic forming. More... »
