NAME

Cartilage development

DESCRIPTION

Cartilage development is the formation of cartilage by specialised cells called chondrocytes. These secrete large amounts of the cartilage extracellular matrix, which contains collagen and proteoglycans. Cartilage has limited repair capacity once damaged.
