ABSTRACT

The key factor in the formation and evolution of the control of the Badain Jaran Desert is the source and circulation of groundwater. The project will study the cycling mechanism of groundwater in the Badain Jaran Desert with the recharge of the groundwater, the runoff and the excretion process, strengthen the understanding of the characteristics of the groundwater cycle in the lake scale and the regional scale, and evaluate the supporting effect of the groundwater on the desert wetland ecological environment. The project is based on the experimental observation of the deep process of precipitation infiltration across the hydrological year dune, the integrated observation and simulation of the water cycle dynamics of the typical lake watershed, the theoretical study of the regional scale groundwater flow pattern, the ecological water consumption characteristics of the desert wetland and its dependence on the groundwater 4 And the direct relationship between the dune, groundwater and lake is obtained, and the relationship between the water quality of the Badain Jaran Desert and the Ejinaqi Basin is determined. And evaluate the supporting effect of groundwater on desert wetland landscape from the perspective of ecological water consumption. The objective evidence of groundwater recharge is obtained by direct long-term precipitation infiltration, which compensates for the indirect and multi-solution that relies on water chemistry information in the past.
