ABSTRACT

The main objective of the project is to build on the research activities successfully launched within the framework of the OP VaVpI Center of Excellence IT4Innovations and further increase the scientific excellence and international impact of these research activities, especially in the areas of "High performance computing" (HPC) and "Cyber-physical systems" And related sciences such as computer science, mathematics, biomedicine, engineering, material science, or Earth science. An integral part of this goal will be the intensive use of the supercomputing infrastructure that makes the center a leading European HPC center and application development for its efficient use. This infrastructure is also recognized as the Grand National Infrastructure of the Czech Republic - IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center - on the Czech Republic's Travel Map of Large Infrastructures for Research, Experimental Development and Innovation. The research team thus gains access to a high-quality research infrastructure, the potential of which will be used both to improve the quality of its own R & D results and to establish cooperation with other important national and international institutions and in particular with the application sphere. Further personnel development of the center will be ensured by supporting educational and dissemination activities in the research areas of the Center. Scientific excellence, strategic partnerships with the public and non-public spheres, and ensuring further personal development are the cornerstones of the long-term sustainability of IT4Innovations research activities that will be supported under the IT4I XS project.
