ABSTRACT

It is difficult to continue research at a local university, and it is extremely difficult to maintain motivation for research and energy in particular. A research group of Japan Applied Mathematical Society, based on a group to study mathematics of destruction phenomena that we have created together with Yamato Fumihiro (Professor Emeritus of Kanazawa University) in 1995, Tetsuhiko Miyoshi (Emeritus Professor of Yamaguchi University) "Mathematics of Continuum Dynamics To serve as chief auditor is an encouragement to sustain research. Recently, various problems such as "fracture mechanics", "shape optimization", "optimum arrangement of composite materials", "discovery of dangerous voids" can be mathematically integrated as "shape optimization of singularities" The outlook is motivating to continue the research. The workshop of the research subcommittee which celebrated 16 times in FY2008 has become the power to sustain researchCoMFoS(Continuum Mechanics Focusing on Singularities). The workshop will also be international and will require substantial expense, but I would like to use the RIKEN funds as part of it. Also, I plan to publish theoretical research at the Japan Mathematical Society and to publish applied research at the Japan Applied Mathematical Society. I would like to devote this training expenses to travel expenses etc. Also, we are planning to exchange information with shareholders at academic conferences. Recently,iPad Pro purchased at private expense,Apple By using Pencil, except for numerical calculationsiPadI can manage it with. For that reason, I would like to use this seminar for the purchase of e-books and papers necessary for research. Unfortunately, our university has no contract with publisher, so regrettable that we can not collect papers for free like other universities. As above, in order to sustain the research, workshopsCoMFoSContinuation of information, exchange of information between achievement reports and shareholders at the Japan Mathematical Society and Japan Applied Mathematical Society, andiPad We believe that research can be promoted by accumulating information in Pro etc. More... »
