ABSTRACT

In FY 2005 analysis, writing papers, the Society report of study results became the center. Perform a study of the past of literature, we conducted a meta-analysis per-related hearing and smoking (Nomura K, Nakao M, Morimoto T. Effect of smoking on hearing loss : quality assessment and meta-analysis. Prev Med 40:138-144,2004), Summarizes the research results overseas, it revealed the limitations and future expectations point of research. Went the Society reported in the world family medicine Society for the interim report of the study (mutual relationship of smoking and noise and age). Family doctor in the case of many people who have been diagnosed with noise-induced hearing loss and age-related hearing loss, stop visits to medical institutions on the grounds that there is no effective treatment, when other physical complications appeared coming to medical institutions. Family physician is these populations is a useful information means in order to understand whether there how much in the area, in the Society was obtained valuable information from all over the world not only in Japan. In order to collect information about the recent findings of the hearing measurement methods, living habits and hardening of the arteries in the noise workplace, findings were obtained in such industrial physician training sessions and College of Physicians. Quantitative handling of measurement items of this research data set, as well as per summarized how the results toward the thesis of, of CanadaEvidence-based medicineワーI participated in the workshop.
