ABSTRACT

Generally speaking, the Peierls phase transition can only occur in one-dimensional structures, which is a phase transition unique to one-dimensional systems. However, due to the interaction of charge, orbit, spin, lattice, etc., a similar phase transition is found in the three-dimensional structure, that is, a Peierls-like phase transition. At present, the orbit-induced Peierls state mechanism is used internationally to explain this phase transition, but this mechanism still has some imperfections. Through research, we have noticed that the spin dimerization accompanying the orbit-induced Peierls phase transition plays an important role in this phase transition. This project intends to study the spin-dimerization phase transition and transport behavior in a strong magnetic field, to clarify the relationship between the orbit-induced mechanism and spin-dimerization, and to improve the orbit-induced Peierls phase transition mechanism.
