ABSTRACT

Two-dimensional structure is only a single atom thick layer of novelty and carrier transport properties of graphene make it a unique condensed matter physics international hot topic. Throughout the preparation of a variety of graphene technology studied various physical characteristics and performance of the device are almost certain graphene attached to a supporting substrate or partially suspended based planar structure. However, for the intrinsic physical characteristics of just one atom thick layer of two-dimensional graphene research and understanding, it is necessary to exclude the effect of substrate support graphene (including the interface between physics and chemistry, substrate doping effects, etc.), no need to get support, free state of graphene. Graphene possible ways to achieve this state is to be free standing or vertical hanging graphene. This paper will focus on vertical standing graphene preparation techniques reveal vertical standing graphene initial nucleation, growth mechanism and control parameters, complete the formation of the controllable preparation of proprietary ordered graphene strip or cluster housing complex technology, provide experimental support for the study of graphene the intrinsic physical characteristics; at the same time, through the intrinsic physical characteristics of graphene research and understanding to explore potential applications of such graphene material or composite materials, is based on the development of free-standing new functional materials and devices graphene foundation.
