ABSTRACT

Magnetic levitation (Maglev) technology, especailly using high temperature superconductor (HTSC), has been regarded as one of the best way to realize high-speed and comfortable transportation system. Chinese, German and Russian groups have developed their respective high temperature superconducting (HTS) Maglev test vehicles up to now. These creative accomplishments base on the static levitaion capability of bulk HTSC over the permanent magnetic guideway (PMG) so the test vehicle is limited on the condition of low speed. The significant unsolved problem is the dynamics of HTS Maglev system, which is the potentest scientific argument for high-speed and comfortable applicaiton. The aim of project is to study the stability of HTS Maglev system under vibration disturbance mainly in the experimental method. In the viewpoint of theory, the flux motion like flowing or creeping will be discussed, analyzed and simulated in the inner HTSC as well as the vibration behavior. Moreover, it is the farther plan that vibration properties of HTS Maglev vehicle will be experimentally investigated over PMG when the vehicle is in state of free levitation or low-speed operation. The origin stability dynamic data will be gotten , which can reflect the nature of the inner flux motion in bulk HTSC and scientific test of high-speed and c More... »
