ABSTRACT

Adiabatic quantum computing(AQC) is a novel paradigm for quantum computation and it is different from the quantum circuit model. It could provide a way for avoiding or reducing the difficulties in the physical implementation of quantum computing using the quantum circuit model. Exploring the large-scale AQC is very important for the realization of quantum computers. In this program,we will study the adiabatic quantum algorithm, develop the high dimensional AQC theory, and study the robustness and decoherence supression of AQC.We will also study the adiabatic quantum algorithm using nuclear magnetic resonance systems, discuss the key problems of adiabatic quantum computing and explore their solutions. These results are of great significance for the physical realization of quantum computing.
