ABSTRACT

In recent years, there have been reported in a variety of tumor cells in the tumor stem cell characteristics that cancer stem cells, and found that these cells and tumors more malignant phenotype, and therefore is considered a potential target for cancer therapy. However, cancer stem cells is regulated by what factors? How its regulatory mechanism? Notch signaling pathway in the body more widely involved in the regulation of normal stem cell proliferation and differentiation. Recently, our group also found that the Notch signaling pathway transcription factor RBP-J-mediated regulation of normal neural differentiation of stem cells and glioma stem cells. This study was based on previous work in glioma stem cells as an object, analyzes the main elements of the Notch signaling pathway in human glioma stem cells in the expression system to explore ways to block Notch signaling and excessive activation of glioma Stem cells produce, maintain, influence biological behavior of cell proliferation and differentiation, and further in-depth study of the Notch signaling pathway glioma stem cells may influence the molecular mechanism. These studies further understanding of the regulation of glioma stem cells and the molecular mechanisms regulating Notch signaling, as well as the establishment of glioma stem cell interventions for the Notch signaling pathway has important theoretical and practical significance.
