ABSTRACT

Electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry, a number of organic molecules containing sulfur heteroatoms may be cleaved to produce a singular class of electronic fragment ions, the results are clearly incompatible with the traditional "even electron rule" (Even-Electron Rule), further experiment found such compounds are protonated at a specific site can be induced to generate a class of ion / neutral complex (ion / neutral complex INC), in view of this, we believe that such compounds may be in tandem electrospray mass spectrometry took place in a class of INC is a charge transfer reaction of the intermediate (unlike conventional charge transfer caused by the movement of protons). Based on this interesting phenomenon, the project intends to multi-class series of compounds containing sulfur, nitrogen and other hetero atoms in the electrospray ionization mass spectrometry cracking behavior in-depth investigation, analysis of special pieces, extract feature information, revealing new to this kind of INC an intermediate charge transfer reaction. By studying the different structural characteristics of a particular compound protonated sites and ion / neutral complex characteristics on this new charge transfer reaction, clarify the reaction mechanism related summary and access to relevant cleavage mechanism for these practical classes take place in the electrospray ionization mass spectrometry in the new cracking reaction of the foundation.
