ABSTRACT

Silicates containing chlorine often have synthetic counterparts that are useful technological materials used as a transparent conductor (mayenit), phosphors (rondorfit, rusinovit) or matrices for immobilization of chlorine (cement). A detailed study of the chemical composition and structure of minerals, which are objects of research can provide new information about the isomorphic substitutions or structure of the investigated minerals. The statement and description of new mineral is a fundamental discovery in the field of natural sciences to enrich not only the mineralogy and geology, as well as solid state physics, chemistry, crystallography and the science of materials. Published data on the research of new and rare minerals will go to the database mineralogical, structural and technological, through which the reader will find a variety of disciplines. More... »
